Early Childhood (Birth - Pre-Kindergarten)
First Time Guests
Our church mission statement rings true in our children’s ministry as well. This is a place for everyone to feel Jesus’ love. Allow our loving volunteers to play, worship with, create crafts, and share laughs with your little treasures while you grab a cup of joe, meet new faces, and see what The Venues is all about.
What to Expect:
Nursery and Toddlers: Leaving your baby, sometimes for the first time, can be stressful. The volunteers in our nursery are eager to rock, cuddle, soothe, and play with your baby. Along with the nursery volunteers, additional “baby holders” can be called in to help babies with the initial separation anxiety that is a developmental milestone of this age group. This room is geared towards infants through 24 months. Please bring a labeled diaper bag with diapers, bottles, sippy cups, a change of clothes, and pacifiers. Supplies for labeling your child’s belongings can be found at the check-in table. *Please notify the volunteers of any special feeding instructions.
2 Year Olds: Once your child hits their second birthday, into this room they go! Budding personalities and active little bodies keeps this room hopping. These children will enjoy working puzzles at tables, building block towers and of course knocking them down, munching on a light snack, organized games, and having dance parties. Please bring a labeled diaper bag if your child is not potty trained. *If your child has allergies or special dietary needs, please clearly mark it on their name tag, inform their teacher, and provide an appropriate snack. * If your child is potty training, please communicate that to the teacher and take your child prior to class starting.
3 Year Olds: Longer attention spans and a growing vocabulary make this class an excellent opportunity to begin diving into Bible stories. Through songs, hands-on activities, crafts, body movements, and pretend play this group will explore Bible stories and life lessons. * If your child has allergies or special dietary needs, please clearly mark it on their name tag, inform their teacher, and provide an appropriate snack. * If your child is potty training, please communicate that to the teacher and take your child prior to class starting.
4 - Pre-Kindergarten: This class is the perfect mix of asking questions, sharing stories and experiences, relating Bible stories to real life, music, hands-on activities, and relationship building. This class goes deeper into the Bible stories and will, hopefully, lead to more questions around your dinner table. We do serve snack so please notify the teacher of any special dietary needs and if so, bring an appropriate snack for your child.
