rEcess

We want to reach out and help support families that are affected by disabilities and special needs. We want to make sure everyone feels welcomed, accepted, and appreciated. With help from 99 Balloons (a worldwide ministry for children with special needs) rEcess is a free respite night for caregivers that creates a place where children can have fun. The free evening of childcare is from 6:00-9:00 pm (volunteers arrive at 5pm) and is for the children with special needs and their siblings.

There is a professional Behavioral Specialist on-site throughout the evening to provide training, support, and encouragement. A Medical Professional is also onsite throughout the event to handle all medication and toileting needs.

The Venues

The Venues church. A gathering of people based in Springfield, Missouri, that gathers together and then scatters out into our community to pursue and accomplish the spiritual and social ambition of Jesus Christ. We gather as a church to seek truth, follow Jesus and ask questions together so we can be “venues” through which the Holy Spirit expresses the life of Jesus. Our ultimate mission is to connect people through authentic relationships to experience the love and grace of Jesus.
